Master Electrician

Job Description-- Plainview, MN

General Summary Install and maintain the electrical system of the canning plant to provide power for machines, equipment, lighting, facilities and other electrical controls as may be required in accordance with codes, regulations, and safety specifications.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Install and wire centralized control panels

• Layout and wire distribution center and circuits, machine tool controls and switches, electrical control and timing devices, lighting systems, etc. to conform with involved engineering specification and schematic drawings.

• Diagnose, isolate and correct electrical troubles to involve repair and replacement of controls, motors, switches, devices and gear, rerouting of circuits and distribution centers to balance loads, etc.

• Make emergency repairs when necessary to offset excessive downtime and production delays

• Maintain centralized and subsidiary boards, generators and substation installations

• Layout installations for major projects, design system layout and changeovers

• Act a crew leader

• Observe and comply with safety precautions

• Etc.

Requirements Vocational or high school diploma, plus a formal accredited apprenticeship or equivalent trades training 4-5 years experience Must be licensed in Minnesota.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30.00 /hour
