We are hiring a Riding Instructor/Assistant Manager for a well-established farm in Gambrills, MD!
About The Facility
This equestrian center specializes in classical horsemanship for the pleasure rider as well as the show rider; beginners through to the advanced levels. The focus is to promote the classical principles of riding in all of the English disciplines. People of all cultures and ages come to the facility to develop horsemanship skills and enjoy an inviting, relaxed atmosphere.
The farm sits on 82 beautiful acres, nestled in a suburban Maryland community. We have a 70' X 220' indoor arena, 90' X 250' lighted outdoor arena, Cross Country Course, and our beautiful trails.
Job Description
Responsibilities will include the delivery the quality educational services to the students of the school. A basic knowledge of facility care, administrative and communication skills with clients and staff will be essential. An ability to deliver the established certification programs so that students can move through a logical progression of skill development and receive acknowledgment of those achievements.
-Feeding, stall cleaning, turning-out/bringing-in
-Horse care and management
-General maintenance, cleaning, etc.
-Teach riding lessons to chilren and adult amateurs
-Everyone works together on the farm and does all the general farm duties
Job Requirements
A dedicated work ethic, an open mind, and a desire to continue learning and to help others learn is essential. The candidate must exercise a kind, gentle attitude toward the horses; communication and understanding are the foundation of our policies. Enthusiasm and excellent communication skills are essential. As a Maryland State Certified facility, all staff are required to have a background check and to have CPR and Red Cross certificates. Enthusiasm and a desire to teach adult beginners or advanced as well as children are essential
